Interview Questions
1. what is your age, height, and hometown?
A. june 23 1988 im 21, 6'4, Toronto
2. When was the first time you dunked and what kind of dunk was it?
A. my first time dunking i was 16 and it was off of one foot a simple one handed squeeze lol
3. Who are your favorite dunkers and why?
A. Vince carter nothing more needs to be said hes the truth when it comes to dunking on people or just dunking
4. What do you do before a dunk session to get ready? (listen to music, stretch, etc..)
A. it all depends where i am and who i am with i actually dont have a routine, sometimes i jog sometimes i play a game... buh my all time fav is to play a game first #1 way to warm up the body
5. What is/are your signature dunk(s)?
A. cartwheel, underneath the legs both, delayed windmill
6. What did you do to get your hops???
A. nothing i was born this way my dad could dunk and he's 5'10
7. What made you want to get better at dunking? (what do you like about dunking? the feeling it gives you, showtime, swag..etc)
A. i always loved dunking from youth i used to jump off the walls in elementary to dunk on our nets or dunk on low rims soo when i could actually dunk it took off from there
8. What are some of your dunking accomplishments?
A. won a big comp in paris 3000 euros, was on city slam in chicago, china tour, won sprite slam dunk contest going to dallas all star weekend cuz of this
9. Are you working on any new dunks that you can talk about?
A. im always working on new dunks from new versions of the cartwheel to underneath both knees 360 to delayed between the legs
10. Who are the top five dunkers right now?
A. me, guy, KD, T-Dub, troy, werm, AUT... hard to choose 5
11. What is the next big dunk contest you will be competing in?
A. london england sept 2nd i face my team ahahha
12. What is your nickname and how did you get it?
A. Jus Fly got in at one of my first big dunk contest (well it was big then) they said i juss flew soo the announcer gave it to me
13. I know you recently started high jumping, why did you decide to do this and how is it going so far? (how do you like your coach, transition to one leg jumping, starting and current clearances, etc?)
A. he told me i could make it to the olympics and told me several people when from ball to track and he asked just to try it out soo i did and i progressed fast 2.10m in less then 6months, high jump still feels funny to me lol buh im getting used to it now my one foot in ball is kina improving aswell buh u will see a huge increase when i actually start my real training when i move to montreal
14. I read that you are advancing in the Canadian ranks of high jumpers quickly. What are your future goals for HJ? (Olympics? World Record?)
A. by nex year i want to b at a minimum of 2.17m cleared 3 times then im carded and my financial problems are taken care of, they give minimum 1,500 a month to carded athletes
15. Is it difficult living so far away from the other members of TFB? Are there fewer or more quality dunk competitions in Canada?
A. im not sure maybe close to equal buh i noticed usa gives much more money then canada for prizes, we all live a distance away from each other i dont think more then 1 dunker lives in the same state except guy n werm
16. Do you have any tips for kids trying to get better at jumping/dunking?
A. well my way of improvement was constantly dunking soo if u cant dunk 10 foot yet dunk 9 foot cuz in the end ur working on ur technique aswell as strengthening your legs i had the technique for quite a few dunks before i could even dunk on 10 foot
